In this assignment, we were required to build a 1:5 scale model of a bus shelter to show our understanding of construction, joints and transmission of load.

For our design, we have decided to use steel as the main material and timber. From this, we have learned the 3 different types of connections for steel. Also, the different connections that are suitable for different joints such as the connection of beam to column and column to foundation.
