For this assignment, my group and I have chosen analyse the new Pam Centre building. This building was interesting as it received a platinum GBI rating and PAM itself played a role in developing the GBI rating system.

The buildings had many passive features included in its design and we decided to study two features which were it's egg-crate shading device and natural ventilation. From this study, Ive learned a lot about natural ventilation and how both stack and cross-ventilation could occur simultaneously in a space. Also, factors that make it more effective such as narrow building plans, orientation of the building to wind and in this case, how obstructions of nearby buildings could reduce it's effectiveness.
